INFO. Buenos Aires Independent Photography Fair is pleased to announce its open call to participate in its first online modality action.
Our desire was to carry out the first edition at the end of 2020. But given the situation for all known, we chose to accept the uncertainty regarding the future calendar and seek a creative way to be able to take action now, in some way that is beneficial for the community of photographic artists at this particular moment.
In this critical social and economic context, from INFO we opted to create an online platform that promotes the dissemination of contemporary photographs in order to create alternatives sales, exchanges / barter that allow us to build new models based on solidarity and horizontality.

As this is a project based in Buenos Aires, we thought the values of the images at a price that could be accessible to the economy of our country. We thought about it and decided that we wanted to invite photographers from around the world to participate anyway because we believe that this is not only a commercialization space but also a platform that we want everybody to relate with, get to know and get in touch with other artists and audiences.
Instead of buying a photo, interested parties may choose to offer the artist some good or service in exchange for their work (for example a workshop, book, copy service, framing, etc.). INFO will be the intermediary that will send the proposal to the artist, who may or may not accept it. If the exchange is completed, it will be paid on behalf of the parties, agreeing between them the costs and printing and shipping times without intervening the organization of INFO.
